Montreal web design for nonprofits, industrial firms and professional firms

We build websites for nonprofits and businesses that want more donors and clients

People check your site before they donate, ask for a quote or book a call. We make what you do clear and the next step easy. In English and French.

Tesseract Drafting & Design

“I wanted a website that clearly communicates what Tesseract does and moves visitors toward action, and that’s exactly what it’s doing. It’s already bringing in quote requests. The process was genuinely collaborative, and the result is a site I’m proud to put in front of clients. Highly recommend.”

The problem

Good organizations. Unclear websites.

Make it easier for visitors to understand you, trust you and take the next step.

  1. Hard to understand

Visitors can’t quickly figure out what you do or what’s relevant to them.

  2. Hard to trust

The website doesn’t reflect the quality of the organization behind it.

  3. Hard to act

There is no clear way to ask for a quote, donate, book or send a question.

Built in on every site

  • Accessible.

Easy to read, works with a keyboard, and built with WCAG 2.2 AA as our target.

  • Built with Quebec’s privacy law in mind.

Consent for marketing tracking. Forms that collect only what you need.

  • Fast.

Light pages, without a pile of plugins. We share the speed test at launch.

  • Yours.

Your domain, hosting and accounts, in your name.

  • Bilingual from the start.

    Ready for English and French.

How it goes

Six to eight weeks. Four stages.

  1. Weeks 1 to 2

    Plan

We list your pages and plan what each one says. You approve the plan before we design anything.

  2. Weeks 2 to 4

    Design

You approve the creative direction first. Then we design every page.

  3. Weeks 4 to 7

    Build

We build the site and add your text and photos. You check it on a private link. Your team can change text and photos on their own.

  4. Weeks 7 to 8

    Launch

We launch together on a call. We show your team how to update the site.

We plan your pages with you first. The six to eight weeks start when we have your main text and photos.

A clear scope. One fixed price.

Websites from $6,000.

50% to start, 50% before launch. Bigger sites and extra features get their own fixed price.

  • A plan

A first meeting, a list of your pages, and a plan for what each page says. You approve it.

  • Help with your words

We plan your pages, suggest headlines and edit your text once for clarity. Writing all the text is quoted separately.

  • Creative direction and design

We establish the visual direction first: typography, colour, composition, imagery and references. You approve it before we design the full site.

  • One clear next step

A simple way to ask for a quote, donate, book or send a question. The form goes to your inbox.

  • Up to 12 pages

Built from up to 6 page designs. Looks right on a phone, a tablet and a computer.

After launch

After launch, we can keep helping.

  • Marketing

We help the right people find your site, through Google, email and useful articles.

    From $1,500 a month

  • Automation

Every quote request goes straight into your customer software (CRM). Reminders go out on their own, so nothing gets forgotten.

    Fixed price from $2,500

  • Care plan

We update your site, check that it stays up, and review it with you every three months.

    $400 a month

Fair questions.

What does a $6,000 website get me that a $2,000 site doesn’t?

A custom site. We plan every page before design starts, design the site for your organization, then code it ourselves. No template and no page builder, so each page is built exactly the way you want, not the way a theme allows. Your team can still update it. It loads fast, is built to be found on Google and is ready for a second language. One project lead works with you from the first call to launch. A $2,000 site is often a template with no plan behind it. It can look fine and still not bring in more enquiries.

What if you’re not around in two years?

Your domain stays in your name, and your hosting and accounts are in your name by launch. After the final payment, you also get the site’s code. Any developer who knows Next.js and Sanity can take it over.

Who writes the text?

You know your organization best, so you write the main text. We plan your pages, suggest headlines and edit your text once for clarity. Writing all the text is quoted separately.

How does the French version work?

The site is built for two languages from the start: pages, menus, forms and error messages. We can write or review your French in Quebec French. This is quoted separately.
