After launch: marketing

Get the right people to your website

Marketing works when the site it points to is clear and ready for visitors to act. That is why we check your website first, then bring the visitors.

What do you want more of?

You do not need every channel. Start with the action that would make the biggest difference to your organization.

  • More enquiries or bookings

Put a clear offer in front of people looking for what you do.

    Explore ad management
  • More from the people who already know you

Give your existing audience a useful reason to come back.

    Explore email newsletters
  • More support for your cause

Help potential donors and volunteers find a way to get involved.

    Explore the Ad Grant

A few channels, run properly.

We choose the mix around your goal, your audience and the time you can give it. Your proposal sets out exactly what is included.

  • Google Ad Grant

Bring more people to your cause.

We help eligible nonprofits apply, then manage the account so the grant supports donations, volunteer enquiries and registrations.

  • Email newsletters

Stay useful to people who know you.

We plan, write and design a newsletter your list will open, and send it on a schedule you can keep. You approve every issue.

  • Social posts

Show the work behind your organization.

A steady set of posts made from your projects, results and client words. Designed to match your brand and scheduled for you.

  • Case studies and articles

Give people a reason to choose you.

Turn finished projects and what you know into stories that explain the problem, your approach and the outcome.

Ads need somewhere worth landing.

We look after every step, from the ad to the enquiry.

  • One story, from ad to page

We agree who the campaign is for and what it offers. The ad and the page say the same thing, with one clear next step. We track what people do next.

  • Better every month

We choose who sees the ads, and we write and design them. Each month you see spend next to enquiries, bookings or donations, and what we will keep, change or stop.

Know the full cost before you start.

Your proposal separates our management fee from your advertising budget. We agree the channels, scope and spend with you before a campaign goes live.

Talk through your campaign

One or two goals. A monthly plan. A monthly report.

You know what’s happening, what needs your approval, and what comes next.

  1. We agree on the goal.

More quote requests, more bookings, more donations. One or two, not six.

  2. We plan the month.

You see what we will do before we do it.

  3. We do the work.

You approve anything published in your name.

  4. We report.

One page: what we did, what it produced, what comes next.

Enquiries, bookings and donations. Not impressions.

Every retainer is tied to actions on your website that we can count.

  • What happened

Enquiries, bookings, donations or registrations linked to the agreed goal.

  • What we learned

Which channels and pages helped, and where people stopped short.

  • What happens next

What we will improve, test or stop in the coming month.

A better website is the starting point.

Before bringing in more traffic, make it easy for people to act. Here is what Hangout Café’s owner said after their website launch.

Pages of the Hangout Café website: the homepage hero, menu and reservations.

Hangout Café

Website design and development

“From the start, they were the most patient company ever, making the whole process simple and easy. The impact has been huge. We’ve seen a significant increase in both online bookings and phone reservations directly from the site. I finally have an easier process and more customers, which is exactly what I needed.”

Retainers from $1,500 a month

Three-month start, then month to month with 14 days’ notice.

We agree the channels and deliverables in your proposal. You know the scope before we start.

Discuss a monthly plan

A fit if

your website is ready for traffic, and you can name the action you want more of.

Not a fit if

you need daily posting, or someone to manage your comments and messages. A specialist social agency will serve you better.

Not sure where to start? Bring these.

You do not need a finished marketing brief. A few details will make the first conversation useful.

  • The action you want more of: enquiries, bookings, donations or registrations.
  • Your website and any campaigns you are already running.
  • A comfortable monthly budget, and who will approve the work.

Fair questions.

What do you actually do each month?
We agree on one or two goals and the channels that serve them. Each month we do the planned work, check what moved and adjust. You see all of it in a one-page report.
Did you have to build our website?
No. We market sites we built and sites we didn't. If yours isn't ready for more visitors, we will say so first and tell you what to fix.
How soon will we see results?
Ads and the Google Ad Grant can bring visitors within weeks of setup. Search and content take months to build up. We tell you which to expect before you start.
What do you measure?
The actions you care about: enquiries, bookings, donations or registrations. Clicks and impressions are in the report, but they are not the goal.
Do you manage our social media?
We plan and write posts for the channels we agree on. We don't post daily or answer comments and messages. If you need that, a social media agency is a better fit.
Is the ad budget included?
No. Your advertising budget is separate from our management fee. We agree the accounts, billing arrangements and spend in your proposal before campaigns go live.
Who owns the ad accounts and the data?
You do. Ad, analytics and email accounts are set up in your name and we are added as users. If we stop working together, nothing needs to move.
Can you run our Google Ad Grant?
Yes. We help set up the account, build campaigns around Google's program rules and monitor them each month. Google controls approval and continued access to the grant.
Can you do marketing in French?
Yes. French text is written or reviewed by a Quebec French writer, quoted separately. Campaigns can run in both languages.
What is the commitment?
Three months to start, since most channels need that long to show a trend. After that it is month to month with 14 days' notice.
What should we bring to the first call?
The action you want more of, your website, any campaigns already running, a monthly budget you are comfortable with and who approves the work.
